We were so tired lat night that I wanted to update a bit more ...
We got up early again and went down for breakfast, which included salad. ;) My mom and I went shopping near our hotel. We didn't venture too far since we needed to finish a little bit of paperwork prior to getting the girls. We took a back snacks and water to the room and fixed a quick lunch there. My girls are enjoying daily Pringles, ha! Brian was anxious ... I was at peace which was an answer to prayer. He was also working on school work .. I am sure that was the majority of his anxiety. He has a test and paper due this week.
Kaitlyn is very inquisitive and wanting to try everything. She was excited to get some of her new things. Kaitlyn brought her book with her. We got a real treat because we asked about friends. Also, Half the Sky sent quite a few papers paper clipped together of activities and pictures of Kaitlyn when she was younger. Lots to be translated. We even got hand and foot prints for Kaitlyn when she was younger. My creative friends ... please help me with preserving these treasures ... any ideas? I've thought of an Extreme Home Makeover episode where they helped a family preserve some special things. Hmmm ..
Anyway, all in all the girls are doing great! They have slept pretty soundly. Little Miss Kaitlyn keeps us on our toes!!! We take turns with her. She is exploring, and likes to touch and taste everything ... very kinesthetic. She is very independent. Amelia was out of character also when she came home. So many changes ... we won't know her true personality for a few more weeks. They are really stressed I am sure. Kaitlyn doesn't want to be held. Just down running and playing, which we got to do a lot of in the room. All 4 girls have played and giggled together. So glad we brought everyone!!!
She knows quite a few things already. Counting for sure ...s he already calls me mommy and Brian daddy. Kaitlyn's name is pronounced "ashton". This would have been good to know .. we would have picked an English name a bit closer ... oh well. I'm thankful that Kaitlyn is small. She can be picked up easily. She is wearing 3T and it fits perfectly. Kaitlyn loves her shoes and didn't want to take them off last night. They light up. She is full throttle or off. We put them to bed ... she went right to sleep.
What brave little girl. We are so blessed. Life will definitely be different. Not a dull moment in the Sutherland home. lol!
We are enjoying our stay in China. Ariel even said that it didn't seem like we were on the other side of the world. It doesn't seem like we are that far away. What a small world.
Our guide has asked that we move to the Garden hotel on Thursday. We plan to do so. We will meet up with some new friends there and get to know some new families that we met at the train station in Hong Kong. What a wonderful experience.
